Akron, OH – The All American Soap Box Derby will partner with NORKA, Akron’s newest beverage company, for the Gravity Racing Challenge STEM Team Competition on May 16 and the All-American Soap Box Derby in July.
NORKA will provide samples of their product at both events.
“We are excited to partner with this new and growing Akron company that is revitalizing Akron’s craft soda. With craft sodas growing in popularity, families will enjoy the opportunity to try this vintage soda with a modern flare,” derby President Joe Mazur said.
NORKA President Michael Considine said he is also excited about the collaboration, calling it “a perfect match because the derby and NORKA have such proud Akron roots.”
NORKA (Akron spelled backward) originally was founded in 1924, ceased production in 1962, then revived in 2014.
